Art of the Cover - Lou Barlow's "Brace The Wave" (2015)

Brace The Wave - Digital (Instant download in MP3 and WAV.) - Joyful Noise Recordings - 1

I remember we were hipsters, sleeping with our cats; young and thin and fucking crazy - fine 'til something cracked .....

Lo-Fi Lou's back baby!

With, surprisingly, the most expensive piece of LP artwork ever created.

Yap, it's "Brace The Wave" - Lou's first solo album since 2009

And this thing's fucking great .... no surprise there.

And it had to be fucking great cos my music Bible, Pitchfork  likes it, saying ...
Barlow isn't the yearning aesthete any longer, and he doesn't act like one. But what's most remarkable about this album is, despite the high gravitas of the subject manner, it still manages to capture the yearning and imagination of youth, and never loses touch with the redemptive qualities of interpersonal connectedness. Life and relationships rarely offer easy answers, and Brace the Wave doesn't either.
