The Music - Future Islands belt out "The Chase" on The Late Show

Future Islands Letterman

is this love .... or the love of the chase?

A blistering live telly performance of their spanking new single, the impassioned "The Chase" , here by Baltimore boys Future Islands from a few weeks back.

"The Chase" EP features two brand new Future Islands songs on the heels of their sublime 2014 breakthrough album Singles

"The Chase"  also comes in a special Limited Edition version (click the LHS link ... ) of only 2,400 worldwide, with each hand-numbered by the band.

This was the band's second appearance on the show. Their first - just over a year ago - really launched the Baltimore synth outfit into a whole new level of fame. with their performance - particularly Herring's onstage antics - becoming an immediate internet success, garnering millions of views on Youtube.

Of course, the song they performed first time, “Seasons (Waiting On You)”, and the album it came from, Singles, were incredible in their own right. "Seasons (Waiting on You)" was eventually named the best song of 2014 by Pitchfork Media, the Pazz & Jop critics' poll and Consequence of Sound.

Before Letterman finally made his exit from The Late Show, he asked Future Islands to return one more time. And Sam Herring and the boys once again really made the most of it.

The emotional/anguished performance - dedicated to the people of Baltimore - saw the band accompanied by Paul Shaffer and members of the CBS Orchestra.
