The Song - Another Sunny Day's "I'm in Love with a Girl Who Doesn't Know I Exist"

A beautiful piece of jingly-jangly indie-pop with delicate, wistful, lovelorn Morrisey-esque overtones.

All at under 2 minutes!

Gorgeous!

This, the band's debut single, was written by ASD head-honcho Harvey Williams.

The song was originally released  back in 1988 and later appeared on the band's only album; the glorious "London Weekend" LP released on Sarah Records label in 1992.

Another Sunny Day was in reality the labor of one man; Williams. He produced a clutch of brilliant indie pop singles like this one, for the legendary Bristol label.

Another Sunny Day disbanded soon after the LP release, with Williams joining Blueboy, before recording under his own name. He later went on to collaborate on several records by other groups including The Field Mice and The Hit Parade. Harvey now works at the BBC.

Cherry Red records re-issued the London Weekend album in August 2009 in a special expanded and remastered edition containing six additional tracks: "Genetic Engineering", "Kilburn Towers", "It's OK If You Don't Love Me", "The Boy From St Ives", "I'm In Love With A Girl Who Doesn't Know I Exist" (four-track version), "Things Will Be Nice" (four-track version).

A nice nod was given to the band by Belle And Sebastian in the track Another Sunny Day from The Life Pursuit LP.
