The Music - Jerry Butler & Thelma Houston do "Joy Inside My Tears" (1977)

I've always felt that tomorrow is for those who are too much afraid

Jerry & Thelma belt out a delicious version of Stevie Wonder's, erm, wondrous paean to the joys of unbridled love.

"Joy Inside My Tears"originally appeared on Stevie's marvellous "Songs In The Key Of Life" album, back in 1976.

Produced by Butler and Homer Alexander Talbert III, this cover version appeared on the Motown LP, "Thelma & Jerry" (1977); the first of two fine vocal duet albums Houston recorded with Impressions frontman Jerry Butler (the second being 1978's "Two To One").

Background vocals here are by Patricia Henley, Sue Conway, Mattie Butler and Keithen Carter.
