Art of the Cover - Deftones' "Around The Fur" (1997)

The candid and rather fetching album cover for Around the Fur was shot by photographer Rick Kosick during a late-night party in Seattle where the band was recording.

Upon coming across the shot (no literally ... I hope!), the band decided it would make a great album cover.

However, there was a little problem. Yap, Kosick did not know who the girl was! So the band had to track down the curvaceous chick to obtain her permission to use the photo, which she eventually granted.

Around the Fur was Deftones second major label album, spawning sucessful singles like "My Own Summer (Shove It)" and "Be Quiet and Drive (Far Away)".

The album was certified platinum in 2011.
