The nicely shot, atmospheric film poster Paul Weitz's interesting, if over-wrought, tale of a young writer who takes in his estranged father (Robert De Niro) when he finds him at a homeless shelter.
A reworking of Nick Flynn's wonderfully titled memoir "Another Bullshit Night in Suck City"! ... The big question, of course, is why Weitz thought it a good idea to change the title.
It's quite a shocking film, actually .... well, it was certainly shocking to see De Niro, after decades of direness, summoning something from his mighty Seventies heyday.
