Art of the Cover - Jason Molina and Will Johnson's "Molina and Johnson" (2009)

The beautiful over art for this fine collaboration between the late great Jason Molina and Will Johnson was taken from a photograph  by Jack Delano for the Office of War Information: Indiana Harbor Belt RR.

The 1943 photograph, called  Calumet City, Ill., depicts a railroad switchman demonstrating a signal with a "fusee" (a device used at twilight and dawn when visibility is poor.) This signal means "stop."
